About This Course
Today’s workforce is experiencing job burnout and stress in epidemic proportions. Workers at all levels feel stressed out, insecure, and misunderstood. Many people feel the demands of the workplace, combined with the demands of home, have become too much to handle. This workshop explores the causes of such stress & suggests general & specific stress/time management strategies that people can use everyday.
AGENDA- STRESS MANAGEMENT:
1. Introduction & Course Overview.
2. Defining stress & how it affects us: Participants will discuss how they would currently handle stressful situations. Participants will also define stress and will learn what their score on the pre-assignment (the Holmes-Rahe stress Scale) means.
3. What is stress about: This session will explore what is stress about. participants will also learn about the positive effects of stress and what eustress is.
4. Building a solid foundation: Next, Participants will learn about the four pillars of stress management.
5. Mental strategies: Participants will be given 2 mental strategies to manage stress.
6. How to deal with stress at work and at home
7. Drainers & fillers: To wrap things up, participants will identify the things that drain and energize them.
AGENDA- TIME MANAGEMENT:
1. The power of change: To begin, Participants will use their pre-assignment to identify areas where they want to change their time management approach.
2. Understanding yourself: Next, Participants will discuss the left brain and right brain approaches to time management.
3. Setting Goals: During this session, participants will learn how to set SMART Goals to help them manage their time better.
4. Planning: This session will explore different planning tools and their uses.
5. The 4 D’s: Next, Participants will learn how to Do, Dump, Delay or Delegate any task. They will also learn to take the STING out of feeling overwhelmed.
6. Organizing your workspace.

8. What is Delegation?
9. Picking the right person.
10. Levels of authority: This session will look at the four levels of authority you can give when delegating.
11. Monitoring delegation: Explore the 5 ways of monitoring delegation.
12. Practicing delegation
13. Becoming a good Delegator.
